Summary:
-Responsible for the
coordination and monitoring of 2 -3 Maintenance Workers and
the maintenance, cleanliness, and safety of the entire facility
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Preparation of weekly work schedules in conjunction with other
shift supervisors to
assure maintenance coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Assignment of work orders and telephone request for work to
maintenance workers,
and follow up on completion of work assigned, this includes
preventive maintenance.
Assist Maintenance Manager and Assistant Manager in identifying
needed parts and
supplies needing ordered in a timely manner.
Timely and accurate preparation of employee evaluations in crews
under their direct
supervision.
Reporting any incidents of personnel or equipment problems to
management.
Prompt attention to handling disciplinary problems involving
write-ups and/
or providing supporting documents to management in cases that could
result in
suspension or termination.
Should have a good working knowledge of all equipment and its
location throughout
the casino and who to contact for repairs on off-hours if the
problem cannot be fixed
by the shift on duty.
Work directly with crew members and help train them in areas of
equipment repair so
all people on shift can have cross training to cover those absent.
Respond to emergency situations in a prompt manner when encountered.
Replaces lights throughout casino including offices, restrooms,
entertainment center/
bingo hall, and gaming floors as needed or assigned
Repairs damaged walls and paints walls as needed
Performs preventative maintenance on equipment such as mowers, weed
trimmers,
carts, etc.
Performs construction of partitions, cabinets, and shelves as
assigned
Performs ground keeping duties as needed, assigned, or scheduled
Performs basic plumbing repairs
Safely operates all motorized equipment such as mower, carts,
and lift
Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the shop and tool
storage area
Delivers and replaces soda syrup and CO2 at all drink stations
Delivers supplies when S & R Clerk is absent
Assists with set up and tear down of entertainment center/bingo hall
including stage,
tables, chairs, audio equipment, etc.
Removes trash from outside containers and delivers to compactor
Delivers tables, chairs, soda machine, soda tanks, etc. to other
locations for casino or
tribal events
Replaces gaming table felt as needed
Maintains the appearance of tiled floors in hallway, restrooms, etc.
by cleaning,
stripping, and waxing
Assists with unloading items off delivery trucks as needed or
assigned
Safely operates Golden Eagle Casino truck when picking up supplies
or delivering
items to other locations including smoker
Performs preventive maintenance according to time schedule and
procedures set up
by the supervisor
Responds to emergency situations regarding facilities and grounds
maintenance
Assists with maintenance inventory for supplies, tools, equipment,
and machinery
During winter, ice and snow removal will be done daily or as needed
Will be responsible for performing basic and preventive maintenance
on equipment
Will be required to work on lift when elevated and perform duties on
roof of casino
Will perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
To perform the essential duties of this job the team member may have

Qualification Requirements:
Must have working knowledge of maintenance areas such as
mechanicals, plumbing,
minor electrical, and safe use of hand tools and equipment.
Must be people oriented and able to deal with various personalities
as encountered in
often-stressful situations.
Must set an example for other members of the shift regarding work
habits,
attendance, and attitude toward job.
Education/Experience:
GED or High School diploma, required
Must be able to successfully pass a written examination for
position.
