Security - Security Guard

Summary:
Ensures the security and safety of the guests, employees, cash and
physical assets of the Casino.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Includes the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Ensures the integrity of gambling, banking, count room and cash handling procedures.
- Maintains a constant surveillance throughout the Casino watching for irregularities or illegal gaming devices.
- Immediately reports suspicious or unusual activities to the proper department Manager, Supervisor, Surveillance Officer, Comptroller
or General Manager.
- Periodically checks perimeter and cage doors.
- Delivers fill/credits to cage and gaming stations.
- Escorts all chip, token and cash transfers within the Casino. Collects and Transports table game drop boxes to storage area.
- Escorts all money transfers between the Casino and Accounting.
- Assist in monitoring traffic as required.
- Maintains and controls access to restricted Casino area. Check I.D. of Possible underage customers.
- Ensures the safety of guests and employees during the Casino operation.
- Performs first aid as required.
- Works with tribal police, fire or emergency medical teams as necessary.
- Acts as liaison with management on security issues.
- Accept found property and tags for safekeeping.
- Assists in locating lost property. Files report if unable to find.
- Fosters and maintains positive player/house relations. Accepts, records, or notifies management of complaints.
- Removes individuals from Casino when directed by the General Manager or security management.

- Count Room, when transporting Drop Boxes and while escorting EGD Drop
- Manual Table Game Fill/Credit Dispensing Machine
- All Gaming areas
- Table Game Drop Boxes
- Casino Cashiers Cage and Vault, when escorting personnel put on an approved access list such as Environmental Services staff
- Incident report files

Qualification Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to
perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed
below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education (GED). Experience in law
enforcement (police or military) would be desirable.
Language Skills:
Must have good English speaking and writing skills. Must be able to
produce organized and clear reports.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Must have detailed knowledge of criminal offenses, and the
regulations concerning tribal gaming. Must be knowledgeable
about modern methods of surveillance and security, first aid and fire
safety procedures, detainment and arrest procedures, investigative
techniques and handling evidence.
